Presentation
Son of Allain GUILLOT, acknowledge glassblower and Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2004 now retired, I completed a two years course called “art du verre et du cristal” (art of glass and crystal) in 1997 at the CERFAV – European center for researches and training in the glass-work – in Vannes-le-Châtel (54112). I did this training while being an apprentice in the family workshop La fêle du verrier in Boisse.
We founded, my ex wife and myself, l’Atelier des Verriers in 2001 in Boisse. We then decided to move our workshop to Issigeac in 2005, because it was economically and touristically more beneficial for us. The company is still at the same adress nowadays and open to visit.
Approach
In addition to the products intented for museums, we make bubbled utilitarian glassware (glasses, jugs, carafes,…) and decorative one (animals, vases, flasks, …), as you can see in our gallery on this website. We also produce small production runs for decorators, creators, restaurants or bottles for wine estates.
Most of our sales are made in Issigeac but you can find our products in shops in Bergerac, Bordeaux or Nontron.
We also do repairs of old glass, collage and reproductions.
We are members of the l’AFAV (Association Française pour l’Archéologie du Verre/French Association for Glass Archaeology) www.afaverre.fr
